The time has come

For all good things, even the mundane and the mediocre, must come to an end, and thus I proffer my final installment to what has been, from some points of view, a dismal failure. I'm relatively certain that no more than 4 humans have visited this blog, and who could blame the rest for not? So from the standpoint of sharing ideas and beginning discussions, this experiment has been as successful as the Hindenburgh. That said, this blog had given me the opportunity to release, which at times was quite therepeutic, even cathartic, and for that I am grateful. Now, provided the premise that no one is reading this anyway, why would I bother writing anything at all? Well, I thought that as my valediction, I could at very least allow this little nano-route to basque in the glow of my gratitude to it, as it exists in this time and space. So here it is: to you, infinitetrickpony, with many thanks.
See ya.

Look Lee, you could be Tolstoy and write a fine novel. But if it doesn't appear in a bookstore - nobody will know.
You could have the most smashing new music album in your hands, your own creation. But if you don't bombard people, the stores, the internet etc... with it - nobody will know.
Same thing with blogs.
People don't automatically come to you, you have to go to them first, create a presence and so on...
That's how you establish "clientel".
As for right now I personally don't much care of how many people comment or visit my blog. I see it more as an open diary. Someone peaks, that's ok. But do I depend "on them" for my rants and inspiration? Heck no!
So you just keep on writing with zero expectations and no gain of fame in mind. That's the key.
Then, if you want to be smothered with comments, you will have to visit other blogs and establish some kind of discourse.
This is how it works with anything you wish to "bring out there" in life.
"You go to them first, perhaps they come back to you later."
Yeah, yeah, yeah enough preaching and I am not even covered by that title ...
Take care, keep writing. Online, offline - it doesn't matter as long as you do some of it.

... I almost forgot - you always respond to your "fan club"!
That's how the Rolling Stones kept rolling for half a century...

...do I really need to talk to you about basic marketing issues?

The real irony here is, of course, that this is the most response I've ever received on this blog. I like that. At any rate, my dear friend and confidant, the truer motivation is actually that I now work rididculous hours, am moving my entire family (tomorrow!), and have realized that I have what I'm guessing is in the time department for such endeavors a square nil. However, I'm pleased to announce that my former email address will become defunct within the week as well, which is actually a welcome relief (it's shocking how much crap comes through that). Cell is the same, for now, however, so fear not that we should lose touch, because we shan't.
Enjoy the island and all its subtle treasures, my friend, and let's have some iced tea on my porch upon your return.

YOU see Lee,
keep that blog. Your e-mail might go bananas, your cell phone disconnected, your voice might rapture ... but the blog is always there, at least until ... I will not go there.

I had a long, yes long for the taste of my purposes, discussion with Walli (my karma companion) today about my drinking issues. It did go somewhere and also nowhere.

Last time when I did that teaching gig on the island I was brave. Only a drink in the evening. That was it.
But now is a different story. I am bored to death, that's when the substance creeps up on you. I got to go, even if it is just for a short period of time ... and then shuttle between alternate realities.

When I am busy like crazy I am doing just fine. It is the "downtime" that throws me into loops. Therefore I am considering strongly to cut out the whole substance cold turkey. All of it.
Your tea invitation sounds good in that respect.

Hey Lee - don't ever forget to keep me updated with your whereabouts info.

Love ya - Lukas

Moved I have, new car and new job to boot...more on that perhaps elsewhere. At any rate, I have come to respect without question my beautiful friend zee's commentary when he gets adamant like that, so, for better or for worse or for no regard whatsoever, the blog will limp along. Perhaps I'll mangage to even hook up a new entry. Thanks for the responses.
